Terms of Service

This English version is a translation of the Korean original. If the two differ, the Korean version prevails except where your local law requires otherwise.

Article 1 (Purpose and Scope)

These Terms set forth the conditions of use of the mobile game Sector 71 (구역71) (hereinafter "the App") provided by SangLimSoft (hereinafter "the Company"), as well as the rights and obligations of the Company and Users. These Terms apply to all Users of the App.

These Terms are posted on this page. Within the App, they can be viewed through the 'Terms of Service' link on the screen that opens when the User taps 'Terms of Service · Privacy Policy' at the bottom of the Hideout screen. Matters relating to the processing of personal information are governed separately from these Terms by the Privacy Policy.

Article 2 (Description of the Service)

  1. The App is an extraction shooter played from a three-quarter perspective, in which the player enters a closed military zone, searches crates, evades or defeats enemies, and then escapes alive. It is offered in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese. The App is played solo without an internet connection and has no features for competing or cooperating with other Users.
  2. The setting, locations, characters, and organizations in the game are fictional.
  3. The App is free of charge. Because there are no in-app purchases or paid content, these Terms contain no provisions on payments, refunds, or subscriptions.
  4. The App contains rewarded advertisements that the User chooses to view by tapping a button. By watching an advertisement to the end, the User may receive free equipment from the daily gift on the home screen or recover one item of equipment lost after being killed in action. The number of times such rewards may be received per day is limited. The User may progress through the game without watching advertisements. Advertisements are provided by advertising providers, and the processing of information in connection with the display of advertisements is governed by the Privacy Policy.
  5. The App has no membership registration or login. A User who wishes to stop using the App may do so by deleting the App.
  6. The App has no features that allow Users to post text or images, communicate with other Users, or share game content externally.
  7. In-game currency (₩) and items obtained in the game are used solely for game progression. They cannot be purchased with money and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other currency.

Article 3 (Storage of Game Records)

  1. Game progress records, such as in-game currency, items in Storage and the Hidden Pouch, owned equipment, and facility levels, are stored only on the User's device. The Company does not separately retain or back up game progress records on its servers.
  2. Accordingly, if the User deletes the App or its data, or resets, loses, or replaces the device, the game progress records will be lost as well, and the Company cannot restore them. There is also no feature for transferring records to another device to continue playing. The User is also asked to acknowledge this on the consent screen at first launch.

Article 4 (Losses Under the Game Rules)

  1. If the User is killed in action during a deployment or abandons a deployment, or if a deployment ends because the User closes the App or the App stops during the deployment, the supplies brought into that round and the items picked up during the deployment are lost in accordance with the game rules. What is lost and what is retained is indicated in the App's guidance and on the deployment results screen. Items placed in the Hidden Pouch are not lost. This is a rule of the game, not an error.
  2. If the App stops or fails to load the deployment screen before a deployment begins, the supplies the User intended to bring in are not lost and are returned to the User.
  3. Because the Company cannot access records stored on the User's device, the Company cannot restore in-game currency or items lost due to the game rules or errors. If an error is suspected, please notify the Company through the contact channel set out in Article 14. The Company will identify the cause and fix it through an App update.

Article 5 (Usage Statistics and Error Information)

For the purposes of improving the game and fixing errors, the Company receives App usage statistics and error information on a collection server operated by the Company, beginning when the User consents to the optional item 'Participate in App Improvement' on the consent screen at the first launch of the App. The App cannot be started without consent to the required items (Terms of Service and Privacy Policy), whereas the App can be used without consent to the optional item. The items transmitted, the retention period, the entrustment of processing and overseas transfer, and Users' rights and how to exercise them are set out in the Privacy Policy. When the User consents to the required items, the fact of the User's acceptance of the Terms is also recorded on the collection server in the form of an acceptance number; the details and retention period of this record are set out in the Privacy Policy.

Article 5-2 (Age Requirement)

This service is available only to persons aged 14 or older, and Users under the age of 14 may not use the service.

Article 6 (Obligations of Users)

Users shall not engage in any of the following acts:

Article 7 (Ownership of Rights)

  1. All rights to the App and the content included in the App (artwork, text, game composition, numerical values, etc.) belong to the Company. However, materials described in paragraphs (2) through (4) are subject to their respective rights holders and licenses.
  2. The App includes portions of the "Topdown Shooter" and "Generic Items" assets by Kenney (kenney.nl), which are distributed under CC0 1.0 Universal (Public Domain Dedication).
  3. The font Galmuri used in the App is subject to the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
  4. Open-source software and other third-party artwork, 3D models, audio, and similar materials included in the App are subject to the licenses of their respective rights holders. Their sources and licenses can be viewed in the attribution notice within the App.
  5. The Company grants the User the right to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Article 8 (Changes to and Suspension of the Service)

  1. The Company may change the game's content, maps, items, numerical values, and features through App updates. Even if game balance is changed by an update, the value of in-game currency or items already obtained is not guaranteed.
  2. The Company may discontinue the distribution or updating of the App where necessary for business or technical reasons. In such cases, the Company will give prior notice on this page to the extent possible.

Article 9 (Disclaimer of Warranties)

The App is provided free of charge and on an "as is" basis. The Company does not warrant that the App will operate without interruption or error on all devices and operating systems.

Article 10 (Limitation of Liability)

  1. The Company shall not be liable for any damage arising from the following causes.
    • The loss of game progress records stored solely on the device pursuant to Article 3 due to deletion of the App, deletion of App data, or the reset, loss, malfunction, or replacement of the device
    • The loss of supplies and items in accordance with the game rules set out in Article 4(1)
    • The content of advertisements provided by advertising providers, third-party services accessed through advertisements, or the failure to receive a reward because an advertisement was not displayed due to network conditions or ad inventory availability
    • The inability to install or run the App due to circumstances attributable to the operating system, the device manufacturer, or the app marketplace
    • Consequences arising from the User's violation of Article 6
  2. Even where the Company is liable, such liability shall be limited to direct damages that are ordinarily foreseeable. As the App is provided free of charge, the User has paid no consideration to the Company.
  3. Where the User causes damage to a third party by violating applicable laws or these Terms, the User shall be responsible for such damage.

Article 11 (Exceptions to the Limitation of Liability)

Articles 9 and 10 apply only to the extent permitted by applicable laws and do not apply to the following.

Article 12 (Amendment of the Terms)

  1. The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that doing so does not violate applicable laws.
  2. When these Terms are amended, the Company will post the amendments and their effective date on this page. For amendments that are unfavorable to the User or that require renewed consent, the Company will display the App's consent screen again to obtain consent. Because the App does not use accounts, the Company has no means of notifying Users individually by email or otherwise.
  3. If the User does not agree to the amended Terms, the User may stop using the App and delete it.

Article 13 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any lawsuit concerning a dispute related to the use of the App shall be filed with the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.

Supplementary Provisions

These Terms shall take effect on September 25, 2026.

Amended September 27, 2026 — As an App update changed the scope of items lost upon death in action, Article 4(1) was revised to refer to the game rules and the information displayed on the results screen instead of specific equipment.

Updated October 2, 2026 — Following changes to in-game terminology, the former term '레이드' in Articles 4 and 7 was replaced with 'deployment', and the former term 'Safe Container' (세이프 컨테이너) in Articles 3 and 4 was replaced with 'Hidden Pouch'. The substance of the provisions was not changed.

Amended October 15, 2026 — A requirement that Users be aged 14 or older was added to Article 5-2, and a statement that the processing of records of acceptance of these Terms is governed by the Privacy Policy was added to Article 5.

Amended October 24, 2026 — As rewarded advertisements were introduced in the App, the statement that the App contains no advertisements was removed from Article 2, and a paragraph concerning rewarded advertisements was added.

Amended October 28, 2026 — The description of the game in Article 2 (perspective and supported languages) and the location where advertising rewards are received (the Daily Gift on the home screen) were revised to reflect the current App, and provisions were added to Article 4 on the handling of cases in which the App is closed or interrupted during a deployment, and on the return of items if a deployment is interrupted before it begins. The font and asset attributions in Article 7 were revised to reflect the current App, a limitation of liability relating to advertisements was added to Article 10(1), and the handling of amendments requiring renewed consent was set out in Article 12(2).
